I absolutely love homeware shopping and have started gathering some things I like ready for when I move into my apartment. I am not buying any furniture until I move in as I don't really have anywhere to store it, as it is my bedroom is overflowing with kitchen items, cushions, candles and lots of other bits and pieces for when I move out.
I have pretty definite ideas on what I want in my apartment and how it will look! I have it all pictured in my head so I am hoping it will all turn out the way I expect! I like fairly neutral and plain furniture and the colour palette for my decor will be grey, black and white add to that touches of recycled wood, a hint of gold and copper and a splash of navy.
So I thought I would show you a couple of the things that I have collected so far, some I have bought myself and some were birthday and Christmas presents.
My brother bought me these salt and pepper shakers from West Elm, I just love them. I wouldn't normally use pepper from a shaker, I'm more a grinder type of girl, but these are just so damn cute that I will probably keep them out on display somewhere.
print ... yes he has good taste... I am thinking I will frame it in a black frame. What do you think?
Alchemy candles they are hand made in Australia from 100% soy wax, have the most divine scents and look awesome too. I have this one in a beaker. Another candle I love is this fig and vanilla scent copper xo candle that I purchased at Kmart. Pictured behind that is another Kmart purchase (yes I am obsessed with Kmart homewares) the copper geometric candle holder, but I am thinking that I will use it as a vase rather than to put a candle in.
Hope you enjoy this little peek into my decorating plans! I am trying to buy a couple of things every week so that my place will feel homely as soon as I move in. I'll share some more next time I have a few things that are interesting.
Hope you all enjoy your week! Let me know what kind of homewares you have purchased lately, or send me the links to any products you think I might like.
